Carnival Estates Fund

Introduction

The Carnival Estate Fund is a registered charity providing accommodation for the over 60's in l9 Almshouse properties located in Leigh-On-Sea. The accommodation is set out as detached or semi detached bungalows in their own street. Each property has its own bedroom, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and private back garden. Concessionary TV licence of £5 per year is available for those age 60 to 74. A range of social activities is available for those who wish to join in.

What Does it Cost?

One monthly charge are 

Bedsits    £130

Semi Ranges    £170 -£180

Detached Ranges £180 - £200

This Covers        

• Housing
• Water and Sewerage charges
• Daily contact with the site manager
• Repairs and maintenance
• External decoration
• Maintenance of the Communal Gardens

Do any Conditions Apply?

You must be age 60 and over and have £10000 or less in savings to apply for a property.

In the event of more than one suitable applicant being received for a vacant property, priority will be decided in the following way:

• Priority 1- Existing residents of the Borough of Southend‑on‑Sea;
• Priority 2 - Existing Residents of the Boroughs of Castle Point and Rochford;
• Priority 3 - Applicants who’s relatives live within 3 miles of the estate; and
• Priority 4 – all other applicants
